For my 12th birthday I curated an art show at Munky King Gallery called, “Stop It!” The show was about school bullying and cyberbullying in order to raise awareness and stop bullying! The show opened on September 10th, 2011 and it ran at Munky King for almost a month!
Some of the proceeds of the show went towards GLIDE (Gays and Lesbians Initiating Dialogue for Equality) and CHIME Institute (dedicated to inclusive education, where kids of all abilities learn together). Some examples of bullying are: 13 year-old Ryan commits suicide because of getting bullied by some girls that were pretending that they liked him. Another example is Cyberbullying. It is when someone hurts someone’s feelings online.
